Vegetation Maintenance in Bwllfa
Removing brambles and thicket from an historic area of South Wales.
When we started Man Coed in 2015 our main aim was to set ourselves apart through a clear set of goals and ambitions. We aimed to provide responsive and professional services – for both residential properties and commercial areas – whilst also delivering our work affordably.
Less than ten years later, we’ve already expanded our team to include over sixty fully accredited staff – not to mention some of our excellent contracted partners.
Our team of tree surgeons is available to assist you with any landscaping projects, vegetation management, or tree surgery in Flintshire, and across the entirety of Wales.
Wondering what allows us to offer our top-notch tree surgery services at such economical prices? You wouldn’t be the first!
At Man Coed we have invested in a high quality wood drying facility at our site located in Sandycroft, Flintshire. We use it to treat the wood waste harvested from our tree surgery jobs completed through out Flintshire.
Through this process, we upcycle our waste materials into the high-quality wood products sold in our online shop.
Our recycling capabilities are what allow us to offer our services at a competitive rate. In addition to reducing our carbon footprint, and decreasing the number of trees cut down to create firewood, animal bedding, biofuel, etc. It’s more than just marketing: it’s us fulfilling our responsibility as a business to make sure our planet is cleaner for future generations.
Residential or commercial work?
Tree surgery is a vast field and the work involved can be dangerous. Learning how to garden or perform DIY tasks is one thing, but when it comes to safeguarding and felling trees it’s generally best to leave it to the professionals.
This is one of the main reasons why Man Coed offers tree surgery in Flintshire, as well as across the wider North and South of Wales.
We provide a wide variety of services. We can be with you to attend to any tree surgery, vegetation or land management concerns, including:
*TPO stands for Tree Preservation Order and means the tree is protected from damage by law. Applications can be made to your local authority regarding work on these trees, but if you carry out work without receiving the relevant permission you may receive a fine.
The main Man Coed office is based just over the Welsh border in Flintshire. This means if you’re looking for emergency tree surgery in Flintshire then our teams of full-time staff are on hand and well-positioned to help. We also have an office in Cardiff which caters to tree surgery in South Wales.
Our vast range of equipment ensures that we can tackle any task you have for us; whether it’s trimming the trees in your yard or clearing land for an upcoming project in the Flintshire area. Our comprehensive expertise gives us the capability to handle jobs with ease and efficiency no matter their scale. From small home landscaping tasks to massive construction sites, we always deliver in a productive and friendly manner.
Flintshire is an open and rural area, jelling tourism and farmland alike. The vibrant greens of wet Welsh countryside are striking; and there are many public walking trails, nature reserves, and national trust sites in the county.
From the gorgeous gradient of the ivy on Erddig hall to the myriad of eye-catching views in Aberduna nature reserve, there are countless spots of natural wonder. As such, tree surgery in Flintshire is not only important but vital to the continuing way of life. Between the towns and villages vs these ample natural areas, Flintshire is a celebration of development and nature juxtaposed against one another. This means that tree surgeons in Flintshire provide an integral service: not only to areas like the parks and nature reserves but in residential zones as well.
Trees in public places need to be surveyed so that Flintshire County Council knows when specific trees are going to need maintenance work performed. While trees are beautiful they can also pose potentially costly hazards, especially in a country that experiences high winds. Benefits to having a tree survey performed include:
Having a tree surgeon in Flintshire perform tree survey every 3 – 5 years may also prevent trees from dying prematurely, as transmittable diseases can be detected and treated earlier, for example.
We take pride in clearing away the wood waste created during our tree surgery work and recycling it into usable wood products. Whether it’s time for full-scale forestry management or trimming the trees in your garden, we’ll make sure your property looks great once the work is done!
Our staff have extensive experience and the skills needed for tree surgery in Flintshire, Wrexham, and the wider North Wales area. Check out some of our work in the case study below:

Residential or commercial work?
Have you bought any of the woodchip, mulch, or other products available from the Man Coed store? If you live in the counties of Flintshire then chances are this may not be the first time you’re seeing this wood! From Erddig and Wrecsam (Wrexham) to Bwcle (Buckley), Y Fflint (Flint), and Yr Wyddgrug (Mold); our work takes us all across the county.
So as you’re sitting toasty, burning our hardwood logs to heat your home; you can rest assured that the wood involved was most probably local. By providing other services we can offer our tree surgery in Flintshire and areas beyond for a much lower cost.
